4 a.m. fun

Oh the days of sleep deprivation! It seems so long ago now...thank goodness! For the first 12 weeks I barely noticed the difference between day and night, or the days of the week...it all seemed like a looong endless day!

I used Scenic Route - Surprise collection. I wanted to try something different from my usual vintage style...and I have to admit, this was so much fun!

Have a wonderful weekend!

What will your verse be?

New layout and I have to admit, one of my favourites so far! This is for Catalyst Forty-Six, my favourite poem:

What will your verse be?

Whenever you feel down, sad, or tired. Whenever you wonder the purpose of it all, remember...

"That you are here; that life exists,
and identity.
That the powerful play goes on
and you may contribute a verse".
W. Whitman

Have a wonderful Thursday!

In case you wonder...

I'm waiting impatiently for Studio Calico's reveal tonight...I hope I can get the kit, they sell out so quick! I'm also looking forward to Jenni Bowlin's...I would sooo love to get both! But we are experiencing a bit of the economic crunch syndrome at the moment so we'll see...

I'm still working on a new layout with some Jenni Bowlin goodies...hopefully it will be done on time for the Catalyst Forty-Six!

So no layout today but I'll leave you with a snapshot of Munchkin...in case you wonder what's under my bed....

Have a beautiful Tuesday!

Another Christmas Layout

This is the cover for my Christmas '08 album. I used Lightroom to give the photo an aged look.

I used Pink Paislee - Tinseltown Collection...a gorgeous set of paper!

The flower is from Savvy n Sassy and the dots were made with Sakura Glaze pens...did I mention I love these pens?!

Now onto my next project using some Jenni Bowlin goodies!

Have a wonderful Saturday!

Naughty

Naughty doesn't even begin to describe this little boy!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout with the Sharon Ann Christmas Magic Collection. The papers are so beautiful!

The tag is the one and only leftover from our Christmas presents...no name brand from the Dollar Store! hehe

Some squished vintage flowers that got revived with a touch of Sakura's Gelly Roll Stardust and Kaiser Pearls in the center.

And again, more vintage goodies...a who-knows-where-it-came-from charm that I think is pretty cute :-)

It feels so odd to do this Christmas stuff in January though...but I'm concerned that if I leave it for the next Holiday season I might forget some details.

Have a wonderful weekend!

OLW Word Up # 43: EMBRACE

I love the new challenge from One Little Word. The word is EMBRACE.
I chose to Embrace Friendship...old friends, new friends, real friends, online friends...and furry friends!

I had so much fun creating this layout! I got to use one of my favourite techniques: Distressing. And I even made my own glitter alphas!

The butterfly is from Fancy Pants- Papa Collection.

The patterned paper:
  • Sassafras - Life is beautiful - My Dearest
  • Crate Paper - Lemongrass
  • Some mystery polka dot paper

And my latest obsession is ribbon. This is from Savvy n Sassy.

Oh and the picture is mine. Those are cats #3 and #4...also known as Sam and Ozzy. They are best buddies and they cuddle up to nap when it's cold...the rest of the time they chase each other around the house!
I used PSP to give the pic a sepia tint.

Ok, enough babbling! Wish me luck!

Gelly Roll Stardust

After a frustrated trip to Michael's last weekend (their scrapbook supplies selection blows!). I came home with only a couple of goodies:

Sakura's Gelly Roll Stardust pens are awesome! I can't wait to use them in my layouts. Too bad I only bought two!

But thanks to online technology and plastic money...I order two packs today plus a set of 3D Glaze pens that I'm also dieing to try.

Happy Friday!

New Year's Traditions

I finally got out of hibernation mode and my layout this week is for the challenge 28 at Scrapmojo. The challenge is about New Years traditions and we have to use buttons.

Here's mine:

A closeup of the flowers and buttons:

And the journaling:

"New Year's Eve is called Nochevieja, or Old Night in Spain. The tradition is to eat twelve grapes at midnight, as the twelve chimes ring in the new year. Try stuffing twelve grapes in your mouth in twelve seconds, and you'll see how funny this can be!"

I had a lot of fun making this layout, now crossing my fingers and see if I win the kit!
