Tutorial #2 - Stamp and stitch!

I'm not a huge fan of Sassafras, but these new Stitching stamps are just fantastic! I used them in my new page for 52 Sketches and I really love how it turned out!

I used just one sheet of My Mind's Eye Abbey Road paper, front and back side:

And the super duper stamps to fake the stitching:

And to keep with the "nothing goes to the garbage" motto, I used the bottom label of the sheet to make the tittle and a little embellishment. It came very handy when I realized you could spell BAD BOY using the ABBEY ROAD letters (I'm so smart...).

Finally a Prima flower, oh how I wish I could use more flowers in my layouts!

And ta-da! A less than 30 minute page before bedtime!

Have a beautiful Tuesday!

Tutorial #1 - Nothing goes to the garbage!

Hello and happy Sunday!

I finally managed to get some quality scrapbook time and this is what I came up to: A sketch by

I love to find inspiration with unusual materials. Here I cut a circle from a scrapbook goodies box and added some distressing glitter:

You have to use a good amount of glue to make sure the pictures won't go anywhere in the middle of the night:

And place it on the background paper. I suggest a soft design to make the photos pop nicely:

I couldn't decide which design to use for the strips...they are all so gorgeous! So why not use them all?! The paper pack label was perfect for that!

Place the photos and the background paper on the label making sure you cover the bar-code!

I used some butterflies embellies, Basic Grey stamps (from the Porcelain collection), orange ric-rac, and my all time favourite Apron Lace punch.

The small alphas along the lines of the circle add a nice touch (no idea where they came from, Dollar Store I guess?). And the big alphas are Pink Paislee (coloured with alcohol marker to match)

Finally, the journaling. I prefer to print my journaling. I think it looks more "professional", but being that my printer in in storage I had to do it the "unprofessional" way. Ugh.

Ta-da! A quick layout using wrapping box, labels, and old embellies! Nothing goes to the garbage!

*Disclaimer* - The "Nothing goes to the garbage" motto doesn't apply to you honey. I'm still going to spring clean the garage ;-)

Have a wonderful Sunday!
